Fourwinds Market

SIREN, WI

St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin opened the Fourwinds Market in December 2016. They and DBS Group broke ground on the new development in Siren, Wisconsin, in June 2016 . The market includes a grocery store, bottle shop, gas station, carwash and other consumer conveniences, all of which will support Burnett County as a vacation destination. State representatives and officials from the Bureau of Indian Affairs applaud the project, a nod to the fact that the development was designed, built, operated and staffed entirely with Wisconsin labor, creating hundreds of jobs within the state. The Fourwinds Market is located on a 9-acre site north of Siren, and incorporates a 23,000-square-foot grocery store, 3,000-square-foot bottle shop, 3,000 square-foot convenience store, 2,000 square-foot fast food shell, single-bay car wash and a series of self-storage units on the backside of the development. Construction began May 31 and was completed on time, despite record rain during much of the construction time. The exterior design of the buildings complements the St. Croix Chippewa of Wisconsin brand, and high-efficiency lighting, HVAC and refrigeration systems were incorporated. DBS Group provided store planning, architecture, engineering and construction services for this development.

“This was my first time building anything, and I would 100% recommend/work with DBS again. They made the building process very easy and stress-free. I really enjoyed how inclusive they let me be throughout the design and construction process. My field manager, Kevin, was fantastic to work with. He kept everyone on task and was always happy to walk through and answer all my questions about the process. All in all, I could not have asked for a better company to help me build my family business to succeed for many years to come!”

“DBS Group was very professional, and they really worked hard on getting our project done on time and within budget. If we had questions, they took care of us immediately. If we weren’t sure about something, they sat down and explained it all the way through. They were especially good at working with all the different contracts involved and keeping us up to date. I definitely recommend them.”

“DBS Group made a large project for a small business very manageable. We were impressed with other similar grocery projects they had completed in the Midwest, and from the very first meeting, we were very pleased with the personal, but the professional approach they had to construction management, and we felt they would be a great fit to our second ground up grocery store project. Our job superintendent from DBS Group worked long hours to be there every step of the way, and we met regularly with the rest of the DBS team to ensure we stayed on time and on budget. We would enthusiastically recommend DBS Group for any commercial construction project and will certainly involve them on any future projects of our own!”

“Working with DBS Group was the best experience we’ve ever had with a contractor. They were professional, honest and truly wanted what was best for us, which gave us a greater trust and comfort level with them. And the quality of the work matched the level of service. Building a new commercial building is much easier when the whole burden is not on you as the owner. DBS Group treated our project like it was their own building.”
