DBS Group opens Rochester office

Design-build construction company DBS Group cut the ribbon on its new Rochester office on Thursday, July 29. Headquartered in the La Crosse, Wisconsin area, the commercial construction manager and general contractor finished renovating its new office space in the Valley High Business Center earlier this month.

The office currently houses several full-time team members, including DBS Group Vice President of Business Development Jeff Anneke, Project Managers Brian Sheehan and Steve Bieniek and Project Coordinator Nicole Finne.

“We’re excited that our design-build work with southeastern Minnesota business owners, developers, tenants and real estate investors over the past few years has led to a permanent office for us in Rochester,” said President and CEO Chris Walters. “We’re equally excited for the opportunity to serve and support organizations that help make Rochester and surrounding communities an incredible place to live and work.”

Experts in design-build project delivery, DBS Group manages construction projects from conception to completion, leveraging in-house design resources as well as partnering with outside design firms to deliver best-in-class service.

The company was founded by several colleagues who had worked together for years at another design-build company when its owners announced they were closing. Within a week of the announcement, the colleagues had begun executing a plan to open a new design-build company: DBS Group.

Since then, DBS Group has grown to a team of 27 people and amassed an extensive portfolio. It focuses on projects primarily in the Upper Midwest but has also traveled beyond to meet customer needs.

The company is committed to keeping the southeastern Minnesota and southwestern Wisconsin region a great place for its clients to do business and its employees to live. Company principals serve as volunteers in several community organizations and projects, including Gift of Life Transplant House, Two Rivers Habitat for Humanity and Neuro Hospitality House. DBS Group also affiliates with numerous Rochester and Minnesota-based professional associations.
